His multi-cultural background nurtures a sensitivity to justice, identity and memory.
A writer in the making, he approaches writing as a space for inner reflection and commitment in the face of global upheaval.
After returning to Lebanon in 2006, he establish with two lawyers the law firm Chehab, Azar & Aoun, specializing in business law, contract law, property law, and personal status law.
In 2010, aware of the injustice suffered by his hometown, he founded the AMDIassociation, dedicated to collective memory, development, and integration, with the aim of preserving the collective memory of Damour.
He enjoys walking through the streets of his city and along the Mediterranean coast, especially since Damour boasts kilometers of beaches and one of the largest agricultural plains in Lebanon. In 2017, he turned his dream into reality by walking part of the French Way of Saint James (Camino Francés). In 2018, he continued his pilgrimage and completed the second part by reaching Santiago de Compostela. Santiago de Compostelle.
In 2019, despite the outbreak of the political and financial crisis in Lebanon, he walked the Greenway trail of the Nera River Park, reaching Cascia on foot through the town of Norcia.
Upon his return, he became actively involved in defending Lebanese depositors who had fallen victim to a mafia-like system exposed to the world in the Human Rights Council report of April 11, 2022. The report described the financial crisis in Lebanon as a crime against humanity and accused Lebanese politicians and local banks of having intentionally orchestrated it.
From 2020 to 2024, he initiated dozens of legal proceedings against Lebanese banks and completed the writing of his book The Pilgrim of the Cedars on the Camino de Compostela..
The author is driven by a deep commitment to fighting injustice and corruption, despite the harsh reality of increasingly complex systems capable of carrying out fraud schemes on a global scale.
Today, the writer continues to practice law in his firm and remains actively engaged in the development of Damour, having been elected as a member of the municipal council in the latest elections. He is also preparing his second book, which he hopes to publish in 2027.
